
The Sabazios Institute establishes its targets of critic and analysis of the culture from an approach to the roots of the Westers Civilization in the Greek antiquity. By means of the name ” Sabazios” we offer a special valuation and sense of that “divinity” that were the base of the Greco-Latin polytheism, and shows our specific confrontation and necessity to overcome the actual tradition, without it means to go in search of a “lost treasure”, but to reunite us with the being that we are and his sources of imagination, devotion and vital development.
The Western monotheism and the common concept of reality that involves the presence of a dogma and its revelation, tend to privilege the obedience and only those initiatives (questionings) that build in favor of the systematic reproduction of the effective structures. The thought distanced or definitively moved away of the heavy walls of this cosmos, is considered ” dis-functional”, dangerous and threatening. Before this threat, some spaces of catharsis or controlled handles are used for the same systemic reproduction, which, in other words, simply changes the name of the “leader”. Thus then, the master continues being master and the slave continues being enslaved. To first one is distinguish by his capacity to create. To the second one, by the necessity to believe, creative sterility and therefore, the lack of vital autoafirmación and the instinct of flock.
Despite the previous thing, the existing being is in itself its world and like so, flows finding itself emotionally disposed. All theoretical activity emerges from this one boisterous pulse and that is, basically, confrontation. Of so simple but fundamental premise, the Sabazios Institute acquires definition: the Life does not happen stability but it fights and for the being that we are, the most elementary combat constitutes the own one to happen pulsating; creation-destruction, conformity-dis/conformity. Already under this last form to be, that one that assumes in itself the doubt reveals its creative and destructive character; on the contrary, that one that simply take refuges in a revealed truth, assumes servant of its creator.
In this sense, the Sabazios Institute recognizes the force and the individual quality of the character where predominate the confrontation, the systematic doubt and the creative development. The Sabazios Institute conceives the Life like force of occurring and to the being that we are like a fleeting and unstable vortex, but that, in as much living, owns in itself that incommensurable one to be able creative. The footpath on which the vision of the Sabazios Institute is developed, as well as its aesthetic vocation, hurries towards the limits of the classic and archaic antiquity, their acute thinkers, aesthetes, kings and soldiers. The plethora of Gods born from that dark depth, reaches to us, more than theoretically, by means of the voice of the own erotic and creative nature. Divinity and feeling of the divine thing that inhabits the forests, cliffs, the rivers, the mountains, all the forms cheers and, in as much so and what, the most intimate abysses; the flow of the blood that whispers to us, just like in the mythological times they made through the figures of the nymphs and the muses.

The Sabazios Institute assumes and tries to recover from forgetfulness the ancient philosophy and the european pagan culture, specially, the ancient Greek culture. In many senses, we’re all greeks and the politheistic religion have a lot to tell us after two thousand years of ascetic monotheism. We talk about a time when values such as honour, strenght and independence were admired. According with that, “the divine one” that lies in the root of the Sabazios Institute is not the god of lambs but The Goddess who awaits in Tartaro; the place where born –the same–, night and day, remember and forgetfulness. That’s the way how the Sabazios Institute recognizes the divinity that run into our veins. The owner of life and death and queen of the labyrinth is the princess of the palace of worms. In her name, we’re not a center of obedience but a creative center. We’re not evil or divine but evil and divine. We are the serpents of the Earth… serpents as the sign of Sabazios.The thought of Sabazios starts from a basic premise: the truth will not make us free.
The life is not based on the stability but on the combat. The existence, with all their exuberance, is not based on the act to believe but on DOUBTING. As René Descartes at the beginning of the modern philosophy, the Institute welcomes the systematic DOUBT like main principle of human and social development. In brief terms: the Sabazios Institute does not try to teach to believe. In this way, the development of an individual will, begins with the doubt like weapon against the world and projects this will as creativity.
The one who DOUBT faces the world. The one who simply believes and receives the truth of the world turns into a servant. Therefore, the members of the Institute must even put in doubt the words of the Institute itself. That’s the reason why I have proposed the word “Alétheia” in order to speak about “Truth”. On a daily basis, the dogma makes the majority a race of servants. The mass media and the traditional education seed the fear in order to debilitate the individual force; at the same time, diverses types of narcotics are offered to let pass the life and darken the individual initiative. A lot of prototype characters are offered to us to reaffirm the truth of the world and support the established order. The one that doubts is considered “disfunctional” , “sinner”, etcetera. Even the most of “neopagans” , religious sects, political and social groups, simply offers to their members (in exchange of adoring its idols and leaders) a different kind of truth to BELIEVE and a handle to the fear that feels the weak.
Under this way, the master continues being master and the slave continues being enslaved. The first ones are capable to create and to impose their story (truth). The second ones, just only live under the instinct of flock, suffering creative sterility and lack of vitality.
Starting with the DOUBT as basic principle, the Sabazios Institute propose an aesthetic education, in specific, the one that I have denominated “aesthetic of Eros”, which implies a special valuation of sensitivity in terms of life and existence. In summary, the Sabazios Institute identifies the life as will, and if the existence is the form of the life proper of the beings that in each case are everyone of us, to assume that will to us implies to assume the existence and existence is creativity. Doubt to create and create to doubt is a nice form to simplify the core of Sabazios’ phylosophy.
Finally, the Sabazios Institute assume and tries to recover from forgetfulness the european pagan culture, specifically the ancient Greek pagan culture. In many senses, we’re all greeks and the greek Gods have a lot to tell us after two thousand years of ascetic monotheism. We talk about a time when values such as honour and pride, strength and independence were admired.
